The Bonneville County Library District occasionally contacts registered patrons via SMS or Text Messaging.
As part of the library card registration process patrons provide their phone number on a paper form, as well as marking if they would like to receive text reminders and notifications. The library strives to keep messages short and to the point, message frequency varies but averages around 1-2 times per month. Standard data and text messaging rates apply.
The Bonneville County Library District will not share or sell your contact information with any third parties without expressed written consent.
The types of messages the library may send includes but is not limited to the following:
- Items the patron placed on hold are ready to be picked up
- Reminders for programs that the patron has signed up for
- Items checked out by the patron are due
- Items were returned damaged
- Returning “lost and found” cards or other personal items
To Opt-out you may do any of the following:
- **RECOMMENDED METHOD** Change your message settings on the library website at https://bcld.org (click the Catalog/Account link and sign-in, then click Messaging in the left column to access your message settings.)
- Reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text message from us.

Once a patron has opted-out, they may opt back in by changing their message settings on the library website (***RECOMMENDED METHOD*** see above), or by replying YES, JOIN, or SUBSCRIBE to any message sent by the library prior to unsubscription.
