As trustees of the Bonneville County Library District, we are pleased to announce that we are working rapidly to open and run the Bonneville County Library!
We believe that libraries are the heart of any great community, and we are committed to providing county residents with excellent library services, programs, and resources. We ask for your patience as we expand our outreach and build our collection.
In October 2022, we plan to open the Bonneville County Library Main Branch in or near Ammon. We will also continue to provide library services to the Iona and Swan Valley branches. We hope to open additional branches in Ucon and on the west side of Idaho Falls in the next few years. We want to bring the libraries closer to our residents and make our programs accessible for all.
All branches will offer complete library services: books and materials for checkouts, electronic access to Overdrive and Libby, a staff of helpful, friendly librarians, a small computer lab at the Ammon branch, and a multitude of community-enriching library programs, such as story time, reading programs, free mini-classes, and community-outreach programs. The new Ammon branch will also include a meeting room which can be scheduled for use.
All district branches will be interconnected. We will run a courier service between the branches so that any book may be requested for checkout at any other branch; books may likewise be returned at any of the branches.
All residents of the Bonneville County Library District can sign up for a full-service library card. Please check our website and Facebook page for news and progress.
